The Head of Careers is Mr Tom Lawson - tom.lawson@skinners-school.org.uk
The preliminary careers work commences in Year 7 and continues through to Year 11 as part of the PSHE programme and through curriculum subjects. All pupils are encouraged to take part in work experience which is completed at the end of Year 11, after the boys sit their GCSE examinations.
Special careers events, talks and seminars are organised in Year 12 and the Head of Sixth Form prepares boys for their university applications or alternative career routes in Year 13.
Throughout the Senior School there are numerous opportunities for pupils to attend talks, conferences and open days and there are frequent visiting speakers. There is a biennial Careers Fair organised collaboratively by The Skinners’ School and Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School. Outside speakers are invited to give presentations and this event is open to all pupils and their parents from years 11-13.
