Admissions September 2025 Update – Second Round Allocations
Second round places have been offered in accordance with our over-subscription criteria, to those assessed as suitable for grammar school in the Kent PESE (11+).
Following our second round allocations, the furthest places offered (straight-line distance from school) are as follows for September admission to Year 7:
West Kent Area
Currently the furthest place offered to students scoring 372 or higher is 11.111 miles straight line distance from the school (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium). The lowest Governors’ place score offered is 368, not all applicants with a score of 368 have received an offer.
Outer Area
Currently the furthest place offered is 18.808 miles straight line distance from the school (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium).
Our PAN is 160. Boys will be divided into five forms of 32 pupils.

National Offer Day Information – 3rd March 2025
Offers have been made to 160 applicants for September 2025 Year 7 entry.
At this stage places have been offered in accordance with our over-subscription criteria, to those assessed as suitable for a grammar school place.
140 places have been offered to those living in the West Kent Area. The furthest place offered to boys scoring 372 or higher is 11.111 miles (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium). Offers have been made to a number of boys who have scored lower than 372, the furthest place offered is 1.645 miles (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium). 14 Governors’ places have been awarded to boys who narrowly missed the 372 threshold score, the lowest score offered is 368.
20 places have been offered to those living in the Outer Area who have all scored 372 or higher. Currently the furthest place offered is 18.027 miles straight line distance from the school (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium).
Boys will be divided into five forms of 32 pupils.

Admissions September 2025 Update – Kent PESE (11+) Results
The Kent PESE (11+) pass mark for September 2025 entry to secondary school is 332, with no individual score lower than 106.
The Skinners School Applications and Threshold Score – September 2025.
Students who have been assessed suitable for grammar school in the PESE (11+) test will be ranked as follows, in accordance with our 2024 Admissions Arrangements:
Children in Local Authority Care or Previously in Local Authority Care
West Kent Area – 126 Places
- Children in receipt of Pupil Premium – up to 14 places (Ranked by high score).
- Siblings of current students with a minimum score of 372.
- Sons of staff, with a minimum score of 372
- Boys with a minimum score of 372, ranked by straight-line distance from the school.
West Kent Area Governors’ Places – 14 Places
Up to 14 Governors’ places will be offered to children living in our West Kent area (full details are defined in our Admissions Arrangements) who scored highest in the PESE (11+) Kent Test.
Outer Area – 20 Places
- Children in receipt of Pupil Premium – up to 2 places (Ranked by high score).
- Siblings of current students with a minimum score of 372.
- Sons of staff, with a minimum score of 372.
- Boys with a minimum score of 372, living in our Outer Area ranked by straight-line distance from the school.
