Parents' Association

The Skinners’ School Parents’ Association is a dynamic team of parent volunteers dedicated to organising fundraising events that benefit the school and its students.

Over the past few years, our efforts have funded several significant projects, including Apple Macs for the Art Department, contributions towards cricket and football nets for the Sports Department, new furniture for the Mitchell Building library, and a £30,000 donation towards a recording studio for the Music Department. Recently, we’ve also funded a new greenhouse and benches for the gardening club, a portable laser cutter for the DT department, blackout curtains and drapes for the Drama department, and laser-guided equipment for our CCF offering.

Additionally, we fund the lease for one of the school’s minibuses each year, which is used extensively. We strive to support a diverse range of projects to ensure all students benefit from our work.

Throughout the academic year, we host around five key events: two quiz nights (in October and March), a Christmas Fair, a Wine and Cheese tasting evening, and a summer fundraiser, which this year was a fun activities day for the pupils. We also organize several non-uniform days, where students can wear home clothes in exchange for a donation.

 Please add the following activities and dates to your diaries:

  1. Christmas Fair: Saturday 14th December, 11-2 pm
  2. PA Committee Meeting: Tuesday 7th January 2025, 7pm
  3. Non-uniform Day: Wednesday 22nd January 2025

The PA Committee has 20 permanent members, and a wider group of parents called “Friends of the PA” who are kept informed of upcoming events. New parents can join very easily just by providing their email.
