Pupil Premium Support
Pupil Premium Places
Each year Skinners' offers up to 14 places to Year 7 pupils, from the defined West Kent Area and up to 2 places to Year 7 pupils, from the Outer Area, registered in that academic year for the Pupil Premium. Pupils are eligible for the Pupil Premium where they have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) during the last 6 years. In addition to completing the local authority Secondary Common Application Form, please complete our:
Pupil Premium Supplementary Information Form
Applicants will be ranked according to their aggregate scores in the Kent Test, the highest score being given the highest rank.
The school works with parents to ensure no student will miss out on opportunities nor be held back in their learning owing to financial constraints. All Pupil Premium parents are written to in Term 1 and are encouraged to contact the school if there is any way the Pupil Premium grant can be used to support their son’s progress.

Support for disadvantaged pupils - Free Atom Learning Account
We believe that it is important for Skinners’ to be open and accessible to pupils from all backgrounds. As described in our Admissions Policy, those students who are eligible for Pupil Premium are given priority selection if they achieve a minimum qualifying score. However, we also know that not everyone has the same access to additional support at home, or in their primary schools.
To encourage a broader representation of children at The Skinners' School, we work in partnership with Atom Learning, the leading online Key Stage 2 learning and 11+ preparation platform, to provide students who are eligible for pupil premium with free online learning and 11+ exam preparation materials. This programme is designed to help children master national curriculum objectives, familiarise them with the type of questions they may see on the Kent Test, and build exam technique and confidence. They'll be able to access practice questions, learning resources and mock tests through their Atom Home account. If your child is in Year 4 or 5 and has been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years, please fill in the form by clicking the button below. They will be given free access to Atom Home when their pupil premium status has been verified by their primary school.
